At EME, most classes are given in French, but you can take one program in English as part of your first or second year of graduate studies. Some students would use the fall semester at EME to fulfill their study abroad requirement.

The Innovation and Sustainable Development program is designed to provide an interdisciplinary understanding of scientific and technical aspects of environmental issues. It is for students from scientific or engineering backgrounds.

You can spend either a semester or a year at EME.
THE FALL SEMESTER at EME consists of a set of modules which are combined with an engineering project to make up 30 ECTS. The engineering project is the centerpiece of the semester which runs from September through February. Students must also attend a series of conferences associated with this program. Fall semester (Mid-September – Late-February):

If you want to do a full year in France, you would do an internship worth 30 ECTS during the second semester.

During a typical internship, you must develop a project and lead a mission dealing with an environmental issue. An internship report must be submitted, and an oral presentation must be given to the EME professor who supervised the internship.

EME has an internship office that helps students find placements with companies in France.

  • Course titles and ECTS values may change as we finalize our choice of course content for 2012 – 2013.
